CAMP WANATACHI GALLERY SHOW opens at Ramiken Crucible Gallery Thursday August 19th →

August 19th - September 6th, CAMP WANATACHI creator Natalie Weiss will be artist in residence at Ramiken Crucible Gallery. She is moving her home studio into the gallery, where she will prepare for CAMP WANATACHI’s Off-Broadway run.

Natalie has curated a group show full of art that summons CAMP WANATACHI — a chapel, tents, SP 404’s + synthesizers, stories of girls who had lesbian experiences at summer camp, projections of nature, huge angel wings and more. This gallery show, a fine art extension of CAMP WANATACHI, is called Jesus In Our Lives.

Featuring art by Bridget Regan, Jeremy Earhart, Tom Sawyer, Lauren Bahr, Natalie Elizabeth Weiss, Wheat Wurtzburger and Our Community.

SEEKING STORIES OF LESBIAN EXPERIENCES AT SUMMER CAMP!

More than a traditional musical, CAMP WANATACHI also involves related video, photographic, sculptural and performance components that exist independent of the musical proper.

I am seeking stories from women who had any kind of lesbian experience at summer camp for use in my multi-media instillation this summer at Ramiken Crucible, a gallery in New York City’s Lower East Side.

Please send an audio or video recording of your story, no more than 5 minutes in length, to campwanatachi@gmail.com before May 30th

Lo-fi DIY recordings are encouraged!

Please send any and all questions to campwanatachi@gmail.com
